Mario Kunovec-Varga Appointed New Chair of the COOPANS Alliance Board

Mario Kunovec-Varga, Director General of Croatia Control, has taken over as Chair of the COOPANS Alliance Board for the next 2 years. He took over from Philipp Piber, Managing Director of Austro Control, who had held the position since 2023.

EXODUS: A new step for COOPANS - a giant leap for Virtual ATM Services

COOPANS is very proud to announce an agreement with the European Commission for the project EXODUS with 34,3 M€ in funding. The project is part of the SESAR 3 Joint Undertaking and shall establish and demonstrate a Virtual Centre concept across all six COOPANS members.

Full OLDI implementation in COOPANS underway

'Full OLDI' (Online Data Interchange; a protocol for co-ordination and transfer of current flight data between adjacent air traffic control units) has already been introduced between Austrocontrol & Croatia Control in spring 2023.
