COOPANS is very proud to announce an agreement with the European Commission for the project EXODUS with 34,3 M€ in funding. The project is part of the SESAR 3 Joint Undertaking and shall establish and demonstrate a Virtual Centre concept across all six COOPANS members.
'Full OLDI' (Online Data Interchange; a protocol for co-ordination and transfer of current flight data between adjacent air traffic control units) has already been introduced between Austrocontrol & Croatia Control in spring 2023.
Philipp Piber, Managing Director of Austro Control, has taken over as Chairperson of the COOPANS Alliance Board for the next 2 years. Mario Kunovec Varga, appointed as new Director General of Croatia Control in April of this year, was elected COOPANS Vice-Chair.
IAA Chief Executive, Mr Peter Kearney has taken over as Chair of A6 Alliance from Mr. Ángel Luis Arias, Director General ENAIRE, the Spanish Air Navigation Service Provider, effective 1 January 2023.
