Under the chairmanship of Philipp Piber, Managing Director Austro Control, the six CEOs of the COOPANS-ANSPs also met with Thales representatives. Significant progress was made at the meeting.

The TopSky ATC One System will include advanced functionalities enabling our air traffic controllers to efficiently handle more flights per ATCO hour. The modernisation of the system is in line with the European "ATM Master Plan" and the "Digital European Sky" initiative. These initiatives aim to harmonise and improve air traffic management in Europe by using digital technologies to improve the efficiency, safety and sustainability of flight operations.

"The implementation of TopSky ATC One is an important milestone in order to be able to manage the increasing traffic even more efficiently in the future and to consolidate our successful cooperation at the international level. I would like to thank all our staff who worked so hard on the specifications for the new system. This commitment and professionalism will play a key role in ensuring that we as COOPANS can successfully conclude our contract negotiations in the near future", said Alliance Board Chairman Philipp Piber.

The commissioning of TopSky ATC One in COOPANS is planned in 3 waves from 2028 to 2030.
