The order was presented by the French Ambassador to Denmark, François Zimeray, at a ceremony at the French Embassy in Copenhagen on Thursday 14 December 2017.
Long content:

Through his long-standing leadership in Naviair, Morten Dambæk received the prestigious honour for being a very important profile in the work of developing systems for safe air traffic management and for his efforts to harmonise the air traffic management systems in Europe. Morten Dambæk has been a prominent profile in this work, and Naviair is – through partnership in the COOPANS Alliance -  one of the leading European companies in the field of harmonisation and standardisation of air traffic management systems in Europe. Today, Naviair’s control centre in Copenhagen is therefore among the seven control centres in Europe along with the centres in Dublin, Malmo, Shannon, Stockholm, Vienna and Zagreb fully working with  the harmonised COOPANS systems, which is quite unique, while the other control centres in Europe continue to operate with widely different systems with widely different standards.
